University of Minnesota - Honoring Prince

Ted Mann Concert Hall, 2128 4th Street S , Minneapolis, MN

Honored to be helping with the music for this historic event. St Paul and the Minneapolis Funk All Star will be providing the music for this event. Prior to Prince’s death, the University of Minnesota had been preparing to present him with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree, the University’s highest honor. This fall we will present the degree in recognition of his remarkable talent, enduring influence in music, and his role in shaping the city of Minneapolis. President Eric W. Kaler and Regent Darrin Rosha will present the degree to Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson.

Students from the School of Music will be joined by special guests artists as they pay tribute to Prince by performing music associated with his career.
